Working with us = A good ass time

Our goal: Create a dope AF day where you’ll feel like you’re hanging out with friends who’re showing you their favorite spots in Colorado.

How it all works

1. Consult call, contract & retainer

It’s sooo important that we get to know each other to make sure we are a good fit. During this call, we go over location options, activity options, our packages/process and get to know you two a bit better! To book your date we require a signed contract and a $1500 retainer.

2. Let the planning begin

Once you book, you’ll receive our planning guide and a questionnaire that will help us find your perfect location. Don’t worry, this is just a supplemental guide to give you ideas and we will still be helping you with the planning process on the way!

3. We’ll Help You Choose Your location

Based on your answers on your questionnaire, we will create a map with all the locations we think would be the best fit for you both. You’ll find all of the information you need for each spot including permit information and other important details!

4. We’ll Create Your timeline

Once a location is chosen, we begin to draft up possible timelines that align with your photo coverage and location logistics! This will ensure you guys are getting the most out of your time with us along with best time of day for lighting etc.

5. Have the best day ever!

On the day of, we will finally meet in person (YAY), claim you as our friends officially and have the best day ever! You’ll receive a sneak peak within 24 hours and your gallery delivered within 6 weeks, your video within 12 weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! However we only offer location scouting and suggestions for elopements that include 0-13 guests. If you plan on having more than 13 people , we have a few locations that we can share but we do not help you find a spot for your small wedding. All small wedding parties must have a location that is reservable to accommodate your guests. Most “free” outdoor locations only allow up to 15 people including both of us/any vendors which is why we have capped elopement guests at 13 unless you have a reserved area to accommodate more.

We only take on mini packages within a 2.5 hour radius from Denver. This radius includes awesome cities like Breckenridge, Leadville, Estes Park, Colorado Springs etc. However cities like Telluride, Ouray or Crested Butte will not be covered under the mini package UNLESS we are already in that area. You can check our travel schedule to see when we will be in areas outside of what is covered within 2.5 hours of Denver.

Yes, we require a $1500 non-refundable retainer and a signed contract to save your date!

Yes, chat with us to see your options!

As stated in our terms of agreement, your deposit/retainer is non-refundable/non-transferable. We much prefer to postpone if you are able! If we need to postpone to a later date more than 2 days from the original elopement date, we may require a second non-refundable retainer to block a new date. We do, however, refund in full if you cancel 24 hours or less after booking.

Although we don’t book anything for you, we do give you recommendations for vendors, ideas for ceremony and guide you towards your perfect day. We help you find the most suitable location for your elopement if you are bringing less than 13 guests and are available for any questions you may have! Any elopements with more guests are better off reserving a location or renting an Airbnb that allows the capacity. We are not coordinators, but we do help with the flow of the day based on your timeline that we also help you put together.! Our planning services cover most of the basics, if you need more help than what we give we can refer you to some great planners that can help you iron out tiny details and if you plan on having more guests it is highly recommended.

We are assuming part of the reason you are eloping is so that you can have an stress-free wedding day where you get to plan mostly the fun stuff! Adding Vendor Coordination can take off the stress of coordinating with multiple vendors at one time. For example: Making Jeep reservations for your off-roading elopement, picking up cakes from the bakery, setting up start times, getting quotes for excursions or activities and setting them up, etc. We have this as an add on because some of our couples want full control of this aspect but some would rather not. (Unique-to-you services like hair and make up or florals will be up to you to research and choose though, we would just take over on the coordinating with them part afterwards)

Typically, yes, Hugo and Laura will be part of the day unless Hugo gets hired for a video only elopement on the same day.

The minimum amount of time we recommend to book is at least 3 months out although we have booked and planned elopements with just a 2 week notice! This will give you a chance to have more location options especially since most locations require permitting etc.

It depends! Some locations do not require permitting but many do. We help you find out what kind of permitting is required and how to apply for it. There is nothing worse than having your day ruined by a ranger because you didn’t purchase a permit. The client is responsible for any special use permit fee.

Yes we do! inquire for more info.

You don’t need to have a location picked if you are eloping with less than 13 people ( this # includes both of you). We will help you find an elopement location! If you are planning on having 13+ people you must find a location that you can reserve/rent out to have your ceremony. We do have suggestions but it is up to you to find/pick the location. Unfortunately some public/national lands do not allow events with many guests and some areas cannot accommodate a lot of people at once. We have found that less than 10-15 people total is ideal.

We don’t help you find lodging for your elopement since everyone has different styles and budget but we do point you to areas that could work great for your elopement!

Only if you want to! There are plenty of beautiful locations that don’t require exhausting hiking or walking. We are up for anything and want you to be comfortable with the location that you choose! We will say however that for a more intimate and secluded day, hiking to a location is not that bad and you can find more unique and even more amazing views!

The state of Colorado does not require an officiant to get married. You may self solemnize and just read your vows to each other in an amazing spot! Laura & Hugo are Ordained Ministers as well if you decide to elope in Moab. We don’t however perform full ceremonies, we only offer the legal part of signing.

At this time we only offer services in Colorado or Moab, Utah. We also are opening up Mexico as well. We know these places best like the back of our hand and it is a disservice to you for us to help you in a different location that we are not experts in.

Yes you can. We only ask that the group is smaller than 13 people and this # includes both of you. This is because we are a team of 2 and most areas can only accommodate up to 10-15 people max. With that being said we do photograph events with a larger amount of people (up to 30) BUT If you are having more than 13 guests you are responsible for finding a ceremony and reception site that is reservable and can accommodate your guests. There are quite a few affordable “outdoor options” for up to 30 people and we can share those to you. We can guide you to some areas we know that work but it is up to you to make sure it is reserved.

We will photograph small weddings up to 50 people as long as you have an event space and or ceremony location reserved for them. We unfortunately don’t have many recommendations for this.

We don’t have a specific number to give you, but we do try to send you the best images possible that sum up your day! The minimum you can expect around 50-75 images per/hour of coverage.

We photograph anywhere that looks epic 🙂 But photographing outdoors is part of what makes us unique and we thoroughly enjoy photographing in epic landscapes that resonate with each couple. That being said, we do have small wedding parties that have indoor receptions or indoor dinners after their outdoor adventures and we do photograph that as well!. Most of our couples just want to #OPTOUTSIDE!

Unfortunately we are not Mother Nature and she does whatever the heck she wants!! This is why we guide our couples through a backup planning process. We always need to have a plan A,B, possibly C.! We also offer day-after weather “insurance” add-ons (our 8 + hour photo & video packages have this as a complimentary add-on). We can’t control Mother Nature (and we also don’t like to photograph elopements back to back) so we always have the day after your original elopement date on a soft close in the case that we needed to move your day to the next day due to inclement/dangerous weather.
